This Sunday, following its rescheduling from last month, the 9th Annual Pocono Latin Fest promises Latin America’s sights, sounds, and flavors during a fun-filled day the whole family can enjoy.
EAST STROUDSBURG | On Sunday, October 23, the 9th Annual Pocono Latin Fest is set to take place at East Stroudsburg University. This festival celebrates the Latin culture and unites the Pocono community with a day full of upbeat tunes, bright colors, great food, and a whole lot of hip-shaking.
This is the festival’s second year at ESU. The festival is scheduled from Sunday, 12 PM – 7:00 PM. Event admission is free, and children of all ages are welcome. According to their website, the Pocono Latin Fest is a wonderful community-building event designed to celebrate and promote awareness of the Latin culture and encourage civic participation. Attendees can expect activities and rides for children, workshops, and live musical performances throughout the day for the adults. There will also be an eclectic assortment of traditional dishes from several countries and cultures throughout Latin America. Attendees should bring their appetite, dancing shoes, and maybe a blanket or chair for lounging.

Edwin Prudencio, Pocono Latino Fest organizer, is looking forward to Sunday’s festival. “We are all excited about celebrating the 9th Annual Pocono Latin Fest,” said Prudencio, “We want the community as a whole to come out and celebrate because it is a celebration of the community as a whole. I’m glad to have ESU as the venue, it’s a great campus, and it’s easily accessible to everyone.”
