Fundraiser To Continue Search For Missing Stroudsburg Woman

On Sunday, August 7, organizers will gather in front of the Sherman Theater from 11 AM to 3 PM to raise funds to continue the search for missing resident Dana Kristine Smithers.

Smithers has been missing from her home in the Stroudsburg Borough since Saturday, May 28. Sunday’s fundraiser will include live music, a bake sale, and prizes.

The Stroud Area Regional Police Department continues to seek the public’s assistance in locating Dana Smithers. According to a press release, on 06/04/2022, Dana Smithers of Stroudsburg Borough, Pennsylvania, was reported missing to the Stroud Area Regional Police. Smithers was last seen on 05/28/2022 at approximately 11:05 PM. A ring video camera verified her leaving the residence of a friend with her cell phone in hand. Smithers’s cell phone, wallet, and daily medication were found at her residence. A family member reported that Smithers has never stayed away from her young daughter for this length of time. Dana Smithers is described as a 45-year-old white female, 5 foot 5 inches, approximately 165 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair, and wearing black jeans with a burgundy shirt.

The Stroud Area Regional Police Department continues to ask for the public’s assistance for any information regarding missing Stroudsburg Borough resident Dana Smithers. The investigation into this case has not revealed any information on the whereabouts of Ms. Smithers or indicated that any crime was committed.
