League Of Legends Celebrates With Pride Event

It’s the fourth year of celebrating LGBTQIA+ PRIDE with Riot Games and League Of Legends, and this event is to be one of the best yet.

Pride month is here, and so is League Of Legend’s 4th annual pride event. League of Legends accepts LGBTQIA+ players, whether pro or casual giving them an inclusive experience. During PRIDE month, Brazil will be hosting major esports events and tournaments featuring LGBTQIA+ community members, with the first LOL tournament being live streamed this month. VALORANT and Wild Rift tournaments will go live later this year, according to Riot Games.

League of Legends (LOL) is one of the most influential games to hit the market. The Multi Online Player Battle Arena came out on PC on October 27, 2009, amassing a total player base of 175 million with an active player base of 125 million, according to, ActivePlayer, a company that tracks player numbers online. One of the most revered players in the Pro-LOL community is BIOFROST, from team Dignitas, who came out as gay with Doublelift showing his support, according to dexerto.com.
