Local Candidates To Take Part In Political Forum At ESU This Thursday

This Thursday, the public is invited to the Popcorn & Politics political forum for a chance to learn more about their local candidates.

Stroudsburg, PA | On Thursday, October 13th, the Pocono Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with BRC13 to invite the public to the Popcorn & Politics, political forum. This forum will give the public a chance to get to know the candidates who are running for the State Senate 40th District seat as well as the State Representative 189th District seat.

This event, being held at the Abeloff auditorium at East Stroudsburg University, is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 6:15 PM. For those who can’t make it, it will be televised live starting at 7:00 PM. The forum consists of Rosemary Brown (R) and Jennifer Shukaitis (D) for the 40th District State Senator race, as well as Tarah Probst (D) and Steve Ertle (R) who are running for State Representative of the 189th District.

The goal of this forum is to inform the public about where each candidate stands on specific issues, relating to the economy, tourism, business, and more. “The Pocono Chamber is very excited to be able to bring this political forum to our community so that they may see firsthand where our candidates stand on the topics most relevant to them and our county,” said Caitlin Hamlin, Pocono Chamber of Commerce Coordinator.
