Do you have mattresses, furniture, or other junk lying around your home that is simply too large for local trash companies to pick up with your weekly collection? This weekend, Pocono Township will hold its annual Fall Cleanup, providing residents a convenient way to get rid of their difficult-to-dispose-of items at a small cost.
POCONO TOWNSHIP, PA | From Friday, September 30, through Saturday, October 1, 2022, Pocono Township will hold its annual Fall Cleanup.
Residents can bring their difficult-to-dispose-of items to the Pocono Township Municipal Building between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM each day. Proof of Township residency is required. Disposal fees are as follows:
- Car Load: $5.00
- SUV: $10.00
- Pickup Truck: $15.00
- Trailer: Up to 8 ft $20.00
- Trailer: Over 8 ft $40.00
- U-Haul: 6-9 ft $50.00
- U-Haul: 10-14 ft $100.00
- Extra-large Utility Trailer: $60.00
U-Hauls over 14 feet are not permitted. There is a $10 surcharge for sideboards over 2 feet high. Car tires (Off Rim) are $5.00 each, while truck/tractor tires (Off Rim) cost $6. Appliances with refrigerant cost $40.00. Hazardous materials will not be collected. Loads must be sorted for collection. One Load is allowed per family per day.
Electronic devices under the Covered Device Recycling Act (including computers & TVs) are accepted free of charge. Vehicles containing only covered electronic devices will not be charged a fee. Pocono Township reiterates that this public service is offered for residential users only.
