This Sunday, don’t miss Barrett Township’s longest-running tradition as attendees are invited to the 57th annual Barret Township Halloween Parade.
Mountainhome, PA | On Sunday, October 23, the Rotary Club of the Pocono Mountains invites you to join them for the 57th annual Barrett Township Halloween Parade. This event is set to start at 2 PM with RT 390 being shut down at 1:30 to all vehicle traffic. The Rotary of the Pocono Mountains will be passing out candy bags along the Rt. 390 once the road is closed. The parade will follow Rt. 390 from the top of Canadensis Hill to the Mountainhome Methodist Church.
The Barrett Township Halloween Parade will begin at the former Barrett Elementary Center & continues through Barrett Township along Route 390, ending at the Mountainhome Methodist Church. Attendees are invited to enjoy the first responder vehicles, antique cars, floats, and other parade participants. In addition, attendees will also experience live music, giveaways, free candy, and more during the parade. Several restaurants along the route will also be open for parade-goers to eat at. Be sure to stick around to see who is crowned Best Float in Show with cash prizes going to winners. With Santa and Mrs.Claus set to make an appearance, the parade is looking to be a memorable time for families and the community to come together and celebrate this spooky season, for extra scares, guests are encouraged to arrive in costume. Porta potties will also be placed along Rt. 390 for attendees.
Attendees are asked to obey all no parking zone signs, vehicles parked in a No Parking Zone will be ticketed. All spectators must stay behind the white line for their safety. Parade participants will be at the “staging” area located at BEC, event attendees are asked to stay clear of that area. No vehicles may enter the parade route until all floats have left the roadway and first responders have reopened all intersections. Shuttle service will be available from 2:15 pm until the end of the parade to bring participants and spectators back to the parking/staging area located at the former BEC. All attendees are asked to clean up after themselves to keep the neighborhood looking beautiful. In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be postponed to Sunday, October 30.
