This fathers day, treat dad to an outdoor event that has something for the entire family and will help raise money to support a local charity to continue its mission.
On Father’s Day, June 19, Angels and Dragonflies Children’s Charity Inc. will hold their 2nd Annual Food Truck and Vendor Event to honor founder Sherry Payne-Scott’s father, Jerry Payne.
The space at Mountain View Vineyard, Winery, Brewery & Distillery has been donated for them to host this annual event. The event will run from 12 PM until 5 PM and feature live music by Rob Dydynsky and all types of food trucks and vendors, including Warriors Pizza, Angels Cook Catering Service, Savory Eats, Hardy Funnel Cakes, RK Mobile Foods, Al’s On The Go, Henna Chakra, and more!
Aside from the vendors, local businesses have demonstrated their full support by donating raffle prizes. CKB Auto has a sponsored tent with raffle prizes, 50/50 tickets, and information about the cause. They will also collect toiletry, diaper bag items, and Bags of Love, which are school supplies, shampoo, body wash, diapers, and wipes. Attendees are encouraged to bring what they can.
The list of vendors includes Sarah Street Grill, Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop, Starbucks, Pocono Go-Carts, Pocono Snake and Animal Farm, Splinters’ Hatchet & Axe Throwing, Mount Airy Golf Club, Pocono Manor Golf Resort, Maddie and Lee’s Hair Salon, Aeropostale, Mountain Creek Riding Stables, Big Wheel Roller Skating, Terra Greens Municipal Golf Course, Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Longwood Gardens, Crayola Experience, Wawa, Cinder Inn Bar-Grill-Catering, and Crystal Garden Metaphysical & Salt Cave and more!
According to its website, Angels and Dragonflies’ mission is to help families provide for children. “We started out wanting to assist families in raising kids due to addiction, but then we wanted to help all children have the things they need. No matter the circumstances, if you need help or know of someone who does, we want to help.”
