Monroe County District Attorney’s Office Officials Awarded For Commitment To PA National Guard

On Thursday, District Attorney E. David Christine, Jr., and First Assistant Michael Mancuso were awarded for their support of Captain Dave Marra’s service in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

David Marra is Monroe Counties Assistant District Attorney and serves as a Pennsylvania Army National Guard Captain. Over the past two years, Marra has been involved in multiple state active duty missions as well as a recent month-long training exercise in the Mojave Desert. Roslyn Schroeder, the East Central Representative for the ‘Pennsylvania Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, presented awards to Christine and Mancuso for their support of Marra’s service as a Captain in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. 

The Pennsylvania Army National Guard (PAARNG) is a reserve component of the United States Army. With approximately 15,000 members, the PAARNG plays an important role in the nation’s defense and in supporting the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in times of need.

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense office that promotes cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and assists in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee’s military commitment. ESGR is supported by a network of more than 3,000 volunteers in 54 committees located Nationwide. Volunteers from all walks of life bring a vast wealth of experience to assist in serving employers, Service members, and their families. Together with Headquarters ESGR staff and a small cadre of support staff for each State Committee, volunteers work to promote and enhance employer support for military service in the Guard and Reserve.
