Starting Monday, August 1, the 96th annual Pocono Mountain Carnival, hosted by the Pocono Mountain Volunteer Fire Company, is set to take place at the Pocono Mountain Carnival Grounds. Get ready for a week of fun, rides, food, games, prizes, and more!
The Pocono Mountain Volunteer Fire Company’s 2022 Carnival will be held from Monday, August 1, through Saturday, August 6, at the Pocono Mountain Carnival Grounds in Mount Pocono, starting at 6 PM each day of the event. Rain or shine, attendees are invited to come out for family-friendly fun featuring rides for all ages, food and treats, classic carnival games, prizes, and more. Fireworks are scheduled for Wednesday night. Ticket prices vary, but unlimited wristbands are available to order now for $25. This year, the Pocono Mountain Carnival is presented by ShopRite.
Attendees can expect over 20 adult, kiddie, and family rides. Games include The Merchandise Stand, Toilet Toss, the Rope Ladder, and Candy Wheel. Classic carnival food, including funnel cake, roasted corn, and a new favorite, clams, and beer. The carnival will also include a BINGO tent with a variety of games throughout the week in the Main Bingo Hall and nightly jackpot drawings and a raffle, giving attendees a chance to win the grand prize of $20,000 along with 10 $1,000 prizes. Raffle tickets are available for a $20 donation. Tickets sponsored by Summit Lanes of Pocono Summit.
Monday, August 1, is ride night featuring admission to all rides at the cost of one ticket. Wednesday, August 3, is firework night, sponsored by Roy Clark Trucking. There is no charge to see the fireworks, but attendees are encouraged to come early for rides, games, and food. Thursday, August 4, is Discount Night, reduced ticket prices. Finally, the last big day of the carnival is Saturday, August 6. Opening at 3:00 PM, this day will feature the Pocono Mountain Carnival famous Beef Roast at 5.
Event proceeds go towards the Pocono Mountain Volunteer Fire Company. The Fire Company has served Mount Pocono Borough and Paradise Township since 1925 and has held a carnival every year since 1927. Pocono Mountain Volunteer Fire Company proudly serves Mount Pocono Borough and Paradise Township in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Being completely volunteer-operated, donations and fundraising help the Pocono Mountain Volunteer Fire Company stay running and keep the community a safe and fire-free place to live.
