Battle Of The Bands And More Slated For First Ever Dingman Day Celebration

This Saturday, August 13, you are invited to witness the battle of the bands at the first ever Dingman Day celebration at Dingman township park.

Dingman Day celebration will take place at Dingman Township park and run from 12 PM to 8 PM. The battle of the band’s competition will feature a multitude of artists, including School of Rock, Robert Tellefsen Band, Conquer the Great, Death Factor, The Sex Monkey’s, Black Belt Jesus, and Happy Hawthorne. The coordinator of Dingman Day, Chris Irving wanted to take an out-of-the-box approach when planning this community event. “Dingman day is a celebration we wanted to do for the community and surrounding communities,” said Irving. “If all goes well, this will be the 1st of many Battle of the Bands celebrations.”

In addition to watching the battle of the band’s competition, attendees are invited to bring chairs and enjoy the old fashion ice cream truck, bounce house, and all types of food at this community event, or pack their lunch and enjoy the 2022 Digman Day celebration for free.

Dingman Day is the newest addition to Dingman township parks’ Monthly park celebrations. Every year, starting in June, a variety of events occur at the park. Last month the park played host to a car show, and there is currently another car show scheduled for September 25. There are also movie nights once a month at the park that include free popcorn, cookies, and chips, as well as the scarecrow at the park, where participants get to decorate scarecrows and choose the best one for cash prizes starting in September.
