One local restaurant favorite, Lani’s Grilled Cheese Shop, has moved into another East Stroudsburg location, Fat Mikey’s, but the reason why might surprise you.
According to a Lani’s Grilled Cheese Shop official Facebook, they announced they were leaving their current 366 N Courtland St, East Stroudsburg location, into Fat Mikey’s 214 N Courtland St, East Stroudsburg restaurant. The reason is due to ongoing staffing issues, being unable to get or keep employees that would uphold their standard of food. Although they have ensured they will still provide the same consistency, with high-quality food that has been a part of their mission since the beginning. Local favorite sandwiches will still be available. Lani’s Grilled Cheese Shop made this decision to be able to uphold these standards to their customers.
On August 2, 2022, Lani’s Grilled Cheese Shop’s official Facebook post announced its decision and reasoning for this move:
“It is a bitter-sweet day for Lani’s Grilled Cheese Shop – we have moved into Fat Mikey’s. Due to ongoing staffing issues, we have decided to house both of these Eastburg favorites in one location! We are only moving down the street and will still have all of your favorite sandwiches,” an official post from Lani’s Grilled Cheese Shop.
Lani’s has let the community know they will uphold its standards of quality and consistency set by themselves and their customers. The store will now be open from Fat Mikey’s location at 214 N Courtland St, in East Stroudsburg, 11 AM – 6 PM.
“We are sad to let go of the original Lani’s storefront. We know that this change will help us ensure consistent, high-quality food for our
customers,” stated in an official Lani’s Grilled Cheese Shop Facebook post.
“We are open today from 11 AM – 6 PM at 214 N Courtland St. Thank you for your support and patience while we make this transition”
